I see that you mention 4c type hair quite often. I don’t have 4c, I didn’t see my hair type in any off the photos and am wondering if my hair can’t be sisterlocked. I’m mixed and my hair seems to me way less dense than the ladies in those photos and its loose spiral curls. I’ve been wanting Sisterlocks for almost 10 years but always chicken out, worried that my grid will always show even after it’s settled along with alot of slipage because it’s not a tightly coiled, spring back type hair with density.
What do you suggest?

Sorry for the delay in responding to your inquiry. I’ve had the privilege of working with a young lady who was mixed, mom is African American and father Caucasian. Her hair type would be characterized as a 3b, medium curl pattern. Her hair locked beautifully, it took well over a year for her hair to lock. Her saving grace was that she had a rough cuticle which enabled the locks to not move around as much. Because of her hair type her hair has a frizzy overall look but she loves them and has been the proud wearer of Sisterlocks for close to five years. The only way to determine how your hair will respond to Sisterlocks is to have a consultation with a Certified Sisterlocks Consultant who can assess your hair and place test locks in to see how they’ll respond. Hello: My hair type is 4B and Tammy Williams did a great job installing/establishing my Sisterlocks. The three LocsofLuv experts can install gorgeous Sisterlocks on any hair type. My Sisterlocks are so beautiful that I can’t stop taking pictures of them, and am having a hard time keeping my hands out of my hair.
What other styles do you do besides Sisterlocks? My daughter currently wears her hair in an afro, but she is interested in getting Sisterlocks in September. Until then, we need her hair to be cared for. Her hair is not like mine and it is more difficult for me to handle. She loves her fro, but it looks unkempt.

I’m 66 years old. I’ve been all natural for 6years. Now I want to pursue a sisterlock lifestyle. My hair may be 5-6 in in some places. I’m not sure of the grade. I do know with water and oil, brushing it waves. My question is, what is your price range?

Sorry for the delay in responding. The price range varies depending on the density of your hair as well as the length and texture and the circumference of your head. With that said, the current starting rate is $750.00 for 4 inches and below and $50.00 per inch over 4. Additional fees may apply as per mentioned. The Sisterlocks package is offered in three parts. The consultation, the establishment of the locks and the follow up.
The cost for the consultation is $150.00, this amount is deducted from the total quoted amount. quoted. It is non refundable should you not keep your appointment. The cost for the consultation is only $50.00 if you decide that you would rather not move forward on your journey with Locs of Luv.

In order to determine if Sisterlocks would be a good fit I would recommend having a consultation to actually access your hair. Sisterlocks can be done on hair that is partially permed provided there’s sufficient new growth.

I may need to look at getting a touch up in between my current appointments because my hair gets super frizzy after 3 weeks. I may be a 3b and I only have weekends available. What is your current availability?
