I discovered Lilla Rose hair jewelry many years back. As a wearer of Sisterlocks I was always on the lookout for hair accessories that were locs friendly. While at a local street fair I discovered the perfect accessory for my hair, the flexi clip. I immediately fell in love with the flexi hair clip. Not only was the clip beautiful but it was also very comfortable. The clip is made using piano wire which allows for ease in placement and removal. Piano wire is very flexible which allows for movement to accommodate various densities of hair The pin is attached so there’s no chance of loosing it. The amazing flexi comes in seven different sizes, mini to mega.. The mega flexi was created specifically for large amounts of hair. Big locs…No worries we’ve got you covered. In addition to the flexi there are hair bands, sticks, bobbies, u-pins and more. Lilla Rose hair accessories work! Treat yourself to Lilla Rose today💜🌷

As a wearer of Sisterlocks I’ve found over the years that less is best when styling my hair. As a Sisterlocks consultant I encourage my clients to do the same. Sisterlocks is a natural hair care system that allows you to experience the freedom of your natural hair in all it’s glory with a minimum amount of maintenance. Note, I didn’t say maintenance free but in comparison to other styles it’s about as maintenance free as you’ll get. My go to style is the full ponytail with twists on both sides. I normally secure it with Lilla Rose hair accessories. I’ve found this line to be comfortable, beautiful and easy on the locks. The smooth edges don’t cut into the locks and because the flexi is made from piano wire it’s extremely flexible and adjustable. Our flexis come in seven different sizes ranging from mini to mega and works well in most hair types. Remember to keep it simple ladies. Today was “Wrap It Wednesday!” Head wraps are perfect when it’s cold out, having a not so great hair day or if you just want to get in touch with your “roots.” Where did head wraps originate? Let’s ask google… “As a form of apparel in Zimbabwe, the head-wrap has been exclusive to women of African descent. The head-wrap originated in sub-Saharan Africa, and serves similar functions for African and African American women.” Elliot Siamonga
It’s a wrap! Goodnight!

I’m back! All is well, so much has transpired since I last blogged. Locs of Luv is doing great! We have two Certified Sisterlocks Consultants on board and one Sisterlocks Trainee in the house. Our Sisterlocks trainee, Rachel Thomas, my daughter took the Sisterlocks training two years ago, currently she has several clients and has completed her first solo establishment of Sisterlocks. Rachel is currently being mentored at Locs of Luv. If you or know of anyone that would like to start their Sisterlocks journey please consider giving Rachel the opportunity. You can see her work on her FB page Locs 2 Luv. As this year quickly draws to a close I’m thankful for having been afforded the opportunity to support so many of you with your respective hair journeys. I wish you all a safe and happy holiday.

With colder temperatures we’re inclined to wear shawls sweaters and hats to keep warm. Be mindful of winter wear that sheds excessively, many of the fibers can become embedded in locked hairstyles. Protect your locks by wearing satin lined caps or scarves with a low pile (yarn count). Lilla Rose hair jewelry also helps keep our locks up and safe from winter wear that has looser fibers. Stay warm.
Two ties, three ties we all scream for ties. These beautiful “Tied Loc Styles“ are held in place with Lilla Rose hair jewelry. An XL flexi is used for both. The Flexis come in seven different sizes ranging from mini to mega. They don’t cut into the hair or cause undo tension, you can wear them all day…pinky promise! http://www.lillarose.biz/cathythomas
