If you have shoulder length Sisterlocks beware when wearing those beautiful warm acrylic sweaters, scarves and hats. True story, a few winters ago I wore a beautiful red knitted scarf on numerous occasions, it was my favorite go to scarf when I had playground duty at the school I worked for. At some point I caught a glimpse of the back of my locks, I couldn’t believe my eyes, many of my locks literally had red acrylic intertwined in them. My warm scarf was the culprit!! Being a Sisterlocks Consultant who does her own hair, I rarely see the back of my locks up close and personal…Unfortunately, dye doesn’t cover acrylic fibers so they had to stay in my locks because picking the fibers out was not an option, the fibers had literally become one with my locks. So, if you must wear those beautiful scarves and sweaters that shed please put those locks up and out of the way in an up-do. For those that love to keep their heads warm with caps or hats during our winter months be sure that they’re lined with a fabric that won’t shed onto your locks. The model is wearing an XL Flexi hair clip, the flexis are comfortable as well as beautiful. Order yours at the link below Stay warm!
Thanks for reminding me of this for the winter months.

Thank you so much for the information. Excellent article. This has happened to me as well; I try to remember to either put my hair up or wear a scarf to protect my hair.
